Fallacies and critical thinking Empty
PostSubject: Fallacies and critical thinking   Fallacies and critical thinking EmptyFri Jul 28, 2017 8:07 pm

The purpose of Consensus is to bring everyone together and get to the bottom of all issues that divide us against each other. It is the fire of constructive debate that burns away all that is false. We measure our values, principles and knowledge at the table, to discover that which holds weight and that which does not. We must leave ego, title and personal attachment to beliefs at the door. We must be prepared to be wrong in our arguments and beliefs at all times, and to be receptive to that, to learn from that. Should we engage with the right intentions, there is no way to lose. Even if we lose a battle, we still gain critical knowledge and insight into what points we need to make and how to make them. While the heat of the fire may burn the ego, it purifies and reinforces all that is true. Be courageous, brave the fire and by putting our arguments against each other, we can all discover the truth and see it with our own eyes. No more false unity in the name of impotent new ideas with no meaning. The old ways are returning. The truth will not be proclaimed, but revealed and prove itself in the fires of Consensus. Only by forging and proving the truth in these fires, can we truly be united on common ground in a way never seen before.

A list of common mistakes people make.
